HUJJAT STANMORE IS PULSATING

It is that time of the year again when we learn the lessons taught and mourn the sacrifices made by our Third Imaam, Imaam Hussein (AS), on the hostile plains of Karbala, centuries ago. The lessons remain as valid today as they did at that time and the tragedy feels as raw as if it occurred in our own lifetimes.
The Hujjat Stanmore’s very own English Nawha writers and reciters group, Voices of Passion, has completed and circulated, far and wide, its third CD, “In Sorrow”. Members of the group are reciting English Nawhas every night in the ELC at the Hujjat Center in Stanmore and they have also recited English Marshias and Nawhas at many other Centres including Birmingham, Hyderi (South London), Peterborough and Sakina Trust (Walthamstow). They plan to do the same through to the end of Ashra-e Zainabia.
The work of Voices of Passion has been well received and strongly supported with many acknowledgements being received such as from a person doing research on Ashura Processions throughout the World who said: “I am so happy that in the last few days of researching … for Ashura processions, symbolic funeral processions for Imam al-Hussein, I found a treasure! Voices of Passion has already distributed over 1,750 CDs throughout the UK and the World having ensured the CDs reach many Shia Centres before the start or very soon into Muharram 1431 including the following: Birmingham, Chicago, Dubai, Edmonton, Hyderi (South London), Leeds, Leicester, Milton Keynes, New York, Orlando, Seattle, St. Louis, Toronto, Vancouver, and Wessex.
