MARRIAGE OF IMAM ALI (A.S.) AND SEYYADA FATEMA (A.S.) BY SHABBAR LAKHA

According to some narrations, the marriage of Imam Ali (a.s.) and Seyyada Fatema (a.s.) took place on 15th Rajab 2 A.H.  

Her Father’s Love  

Only 1 child did the Prophet have, for it was a baby girl…  

Her eyes would reflect into his eyes, and glimmer like pearls,  

He would hold her, and think he is in heaven on earth,  

And bring smiles to him, from her glorious birth,  

He would hold her in his arms and say, Subhanallah,  

For what beauty has been made, from our creator,  

As she has been named, Fatima-al-Zahra…  

When she prayed they say the heavens, would come alight,  

For even the people on earth, will see the stars so bright,  

As for every star, is every one of her tasbeehs,  

The dhikr to Allah, that she made it a must-be,  

Allah-wakbar… Alhumdurallah… Subhanallah,  

She was the one, who said this the most times to Allah,  

And for every one, was a birth of a new star,  

So look up into the dark skies, and say subhanllah!  

She took the importance of wearing hijab like a role model,  

How not even her shadow would have been casted on the wall,  

It was worn to protect herself, from the evil eye of others,  

And her hijab also protects us, for when we need cover,  

If she were to send us just 1 thread of her chadar,  

I bet you we could climb up into the 7th Janah,  

And find ourselves in a world of peace and love,  

As she was described to be purer than a dove!  

The fatherly love given to his only child, no one can ever give,  

For when she was ready to marry, many proposals did he receive,  

The first was Abdur Rahman, who was very wealthy asking for her hand,  

He said to the Prophet, “I’ll give you100 camels covered in rich cloth,  

And also 1,000 dinar in gold.”  

He replied, “Do you think I am a servant of wealth, for my daughter cannot be sold!”  

There were others like Abu Bakr, Umr, and Uthman,  

But these people were not right for his loving jaan,  

Allah had told the Prophet…  

There is only 1 person she can marry,  

And he goes by the name of Ali,  

The son of Abu Talib, and son of our Prophet,  

Ali is the mawla, to whom you are mawla,  

He is the moon, and you are the sun,  

For he was the first Muslim to join Islam,  

The one the Prophet used to hold in his palms,  

The one he used to feed when he was a baby,  

The one that can only be right for his glorious lady,  

And the only lady, that can ever be right for Ali,  

As she was the lady of masters, of the youths of heaven!  

With their love…They created the Ahlulbayt…The last 11!
