ON THE DEATH ANNIVERSARY OF OUR 11TH IMAM A.S.

HIS 14 RECOMMENDATIONS TO SHIAS  

As advised by Imam Hasan al-Askary (A)  

I recommend you to  

1. Fear Allah,  

2. Be pious in you religion,  

3. Strive for Allah,  

4. Be truthful in speaking,  

5. Give deposits back to its owner - be he good or bad,  

6. Increase prostration, and  

7. Be good to neighbours.  

It is by these principals that the Holy Prophet (S) came with his mission.  

8. Associate with your kin,  

9. Attend their funerals,  

10. Visit the sick and carry out their rights.  

For if any one of you is pious in his religion, it shall be said about him: “This is a Shia,” and this shall please me.  

11. Fear Allah & be good, and do not succumb to evil!  

12. Attract every love to us, and keep obscenity away from us,  

This is because whatever good is said about us, we deserve it, and whatever bad is said about us, is not in us. We have a right in the Book of Allah, kinship to the Messenger of Allah, and purification from Allah that no one other than us claims, except a liar.  

13. Mention Allah frequently and remember death!  

14. Recite the Holy Qu’ran and send peace and blessings upon the Holy Prophet (S), because sending of blessings on the prophet has incalculable rewards.  

I pray to Allah to protect you, I fare you well, and send peace unto you.
